But check out this badass clip of Brendan Fraser in the "The Mummy" (1999). He mixes humor and thrills with action. Nobody could match his boyish charm and effortless displays of derring-do back in Fraser's heyday.
Will Cruise bring that to the reboot? Doesn't look like it.
Critics aren't feeling the latest "Mummy" reboot.

Fraser and Weisz's chemistry brought something special and modern to the 1999 reboot of "The Mummy" classic from 1932.
While Cruise's version can also bring something new, detractors doubt they'll like it.
